Meet our Founder

Born and raised in the United States, with Lebanese roots, I have always been captivated by the beauty and cultural significance of jewelry. In Lebanon, Jewelry isn’t just an adornment; it’s a cherished part of our heritage, passed down as heirlooms through generations. From the shimmering gold pieces that adorned my grandmother's wrists to the rings that filled her fingers, each piece tells a story that weaves together memories of family, love, and culture. During summers in Lebanon, I make it a ritual to explore the myriad jewelry stores, seeking out unique, timeless pieces that speak to me. I acquire and wear them and hope to some day pass them on and continue the tradition.

Lebanon, emerging from French occupation in the midcentury, became a vibrant hub that attracted tourists from all over the world, especially Europe and the rest of the Arab world. Tourists would visit Lebanon for its rich culture, cuisine, entertainment, breathtaking landscapes, and the hospitality of its people. “You can ski in the morning and sunbathe at the beach in the afternoon” is a famous saying proud Lebanese proclaim to show off the country’s geography. This melting pot of people, over time, influenced elements of the Lebanese culture, particularly fashion and jewelry. Jewelers in Lebanon would pick up on this trend and design timeless pieces that integrate traditional Lebanese designs with inspirations from the rest of the world. It’s this fusion that defines c’est dahab – encapsulating the essence of our heritage and its evolution. 

Despite pursuing a career in Civil Engineering, my passion for jewelry design never wavered. The craftsmanship, symbolism, and intricate details igniting a creative fire within me. In my free time, I found myself drawn to vintage gold pieces passed down to me, as well as the pieces I have acquired over the years. I couldn't help but dream of one day designing pieces that would carry on a story and become timeless heirlooms for my children and all who wear a c'est dahab piece. This dream has become a reality. With the birth of my second son, I made the leap, leaving engineering to pursue my dream. With the support of my family, especially my youngest son who accompanied me to every meeting, c'est dahab was born. 

Every piece in our collection is a labor of love, meticulously handcrafted in Los Angeles. They are tributes to the remarkable women who have graced my life, serving as muses and guiding lights, inspiring each creation in its unique way.
